I. Orig(e)in
This project is the product of an ongoing, two-decades long, research on the roles of art and journalism in the so-called information societies of the 21st century. It is based on a premise presented by communications theorist Marshall McLuhan, who defined artists as society’s ‘early warning systems’.
Este proyecto es producto de un estudio continuo de dos décadas sobre los roles del arte y el periodismo en las llamadas sociedades de la información del Siglo XXI. Esta basado en una premisa presentada por el teórico de las comunicaciones Marshall McLuhan, quien definió a los artistas como ‘sistemas de alarma preventiva’ de la sociedad.
II. Obje(c)tiv(e)o
The project’s objective is summarised in the motto: ‘proud supporters of natural intelligence,’ as it seeks to develop a model of interactive creation between human beings. It also aims to encourage conversations about the main challenges facing the societies of the 21s century, while presenting and promoting artists and artworks related to the same issues.
El objetivo de este proyecto se resume en la frase: ‘fieles defensores de la inteligencia natural’, ya que busca desarrollar un modelo de creación interactiva entre seres humanos. También busca fomentar discusiones acerca de los principales retos que afrontan las sociedades del S. XXI, mientras se presentan y promocionan artistas y obras que exploran dichos temas.
III. Mét(h)od(o)
The goal is to be achieved through the production of literary, journalistic, graphic and audiovisual work; and the organisation of activities: including presentations, conferences, debates, focus groups and workshops of Games of Collective Creation).
El objetivo ha de conseguirse a través de la producción de obras literarias, periodísticas, gráficas y audiovisuales; y la organización de actividades: incluyendo presentaciones, conferencias, debates, grupos de foco y talleres de Juegos de Creación Colectiva.
IV. Development stages / Etapas de desarrollo
The project includes three stages of development
El proyecto ha de ser desarrollado en tres etapas
Stage no. 1 / Etapa No. 1
This stage presents a unidirectional interaction between author and public, with the different titles included in the rhizome.
Esta etapa presenta una interacción uni dimensional entre autor y público, con los diferentes títulos incluidos en el rizoma.
Stage no. 2 / Etapa No. 2
This stage presents a multidimensional interaction in which the public would take the role of the author, through activities designed under the model: Games of Collective Creation.
Esta etapa presenta una interacción multidimensional en la que el público empieza a ocupar el rol del autor, a través de actividades diseñadas bajo el modelo de Juegos de Creación Colectiva.
Stage no. 3 / Etapa No. 3
This is a stage of replication, in which new titles and interconnections are to be created, leading to the creation of new rhizomes (highlighting a new range of artists and artworks).
Esta es una etapa de réplica, en la que se han de crear nuevos títulos e interconexiones que lleven a la creación de nuevos rizomas (resaltando una nueva variedad de artistas y obras).

Fase no. 1

Durante esta fase La intención es reflejar como ejercicios de diversas escalas de análisis académico y periodístico han nutrido el desarrollo de obras literarias y audiovisuales (y vice versa).
Fase no. 2

During this phase, the aim is to open the rhizome to the public’s interaction: looking for new interpretations and points of view, through activities that include focus groups and games of collective creation, based on the different titles included in this body of work.
Phase no. 1

During this phase, the aim is to reflect how exercises on a different scale of academic and journalistic analysis have fed into the development of literary and audiovisual artworks (and viceversa).
Phase no. 2

Durante esta fase, la intención es abrir el rizoma a su interacción con el público: buscando nuevas interpretaciones y puntos de vista, a través de actividades que incluyen debates, grupos de foco y juegos de creación de colectiva.
