Synopsis

This book presents a collection of essays and articles about journalism and art in the twenty-first century. Through a network of graphics and footnotes, it interconnects the foundations of a formal academic research, with a number of case studies: in the form of essays, columns and caricatures.
The connection between the two main parts is done through two complementary appendixes, located in the middle and end of the book. The middle section presents a retrospective experiment in caricature and political satire, produced during the years (and influenced by the issues) studied throughout the book. The final section includes a series of nodes, which present an updated reflection on the main issues studied throughout the compendium: written from the perspective of a pandemic world.
The nodes included in the final section follow four narrative lines, which departed from my doctoral dissertation and were connected to one or many of the articles and/or caricatures included in the second and middle parts.
